Peaceful Week

The Lord has been good to us this week. We've had a peaceful week. I'm very thankful.
I'm praying that he stays fever free over the weekend. I'm going a little retreat with the church, and am really nervous about being away. I know that God will take good care of Gabey whether I'm there or not. God is good All the time.

elijaha65 said...: May God Bless your son, and the whole Family also. I will be praying for your son, because just like you said, GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. My cancer is in remission right now after 6 treatments of chemo, and 35 treatments of radiation, so I know how much of a toll it can take on the family. Prayer Requests

We've started Maintenance. It will be ongoing for the rest of the 3 years of his treatment.
It's much more laid back, and Gabey will be able to get back to living a much more normal life.
The doctors said for us to just go ahead and start going out, and doing the things we need to do. Gabey will start Sunday school again, and we'll be starting going to the store and restaurants again. They said that we can't really worry too much about his counts because we won't know what they are except once a month.

We need to keep praying for his counts to be consistantly above 1000, the nurse said that was their goal for him, so they would be adjusting his doses to keep his counts in a good range.

We still need to pray against fevers and infections, so Gabey can stay away from the hospital.
